Voxlera is based in Philadelphia and works with home-service businesses across Pennsylvania, plus clients across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Local search isn't the same everywhere: how far the map reaches, which licenses customers look for and which language they search in all change from one market to the next.

Each region below gets its own page once we have something true and specific to say about it. Philadelphia, our home market, is first. Everywhere else on this list, we already work. The page just hasn't been written yet.
| Region | What changes in local search there | Area page |
|---|---|---|
| Philadelphia | Searches by neighborhood, a small map radius, L&I trade licenses for plumbing and electrical work, and a large Spanish-speaking population | Philadelphia local SEO → |
| Philadelphia suburbs: Bucks, Montgomery, Delaware and Chester counties | Customers search by both the town on their mail and the township they live in, permits are handled locally, and a profile's reach depends on where it's based | Not yet |
| Lehigh Valley | Allentown is about 54% Hispanic or Latino (2020 Census), so a bilingual profile and phone line are a real advantage | Not yet |
| Reading and Berks County | Reading is about 69% Hispanic or Latino (2020 Census), so Spanish matters here as much as anywhere in the state | Not yet |
| Lancaster and Harrisburg | A mix of small cities, suburbs and rural service areas, where long drives make an honest service area matter | Not yet |
| Pittsburgh and western Pennsylvania | A separate market from the east, and plumbing licenses come from the Allegheny County Health Department rather than a city office | Not yet |
| Outside Pennsylvania | Clients in Puerto Rico and Florida. In Puerto Rico, profiles, websites and reviews are often Spanish-first | Not yet |
Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence everywhere. What changes from place to place is how the three play out.
In Philadelphia and the centers of Allentown, Reading and Pittsburgh, the map pack shows businesses close to the searcher, so one profile reaches a few neighborhoods, not a whole city. Neighborhood names matter, and so do reviews from customers nearby.
Neighborhood by neighborhoodCustomers search by the town on their mail and by the township they live in, and the two often don't match. King of Prussia, for example, is part of Upper Merion Township. Pages and service areas need both names where they're real.
Town and township namesFewer competitors and longer drives. The map reaches farther, so an honest service area and real reviews from the outlying towns you serve do more of the work than they would in a city.
Wider service areasA home-service business in Pennsylvania deals with more local variation than in most states. These are the differences that show up in Google profiles, websites and ads.
By the state's count, Pennsylvania has 2,560 cities, boroughs, townships and one town. Customers search by those names, and many of them don't match a post office. We use the ones your customers actually type.
Pennsylvania has no statewide plumbing or electrician license. Philadelphia's L&I licenses both trades, Allegheny County's Health Department licenses plumbers, and other municipalities set their own rules. We show the license that applies where you work, and only if you hold it.
The Home Improvement Contractor registration from the Attorney General applies everywhere in the state, for most contractors doing more than $5,000 a year of home improvement work. The number has to appear in advertising, and the Attorney General's instructions say that includes online ads.
Fewer than one in ten Pennsylvanians is Hispanic or Latino. In Reading the share is about 69% and in Allentown about 54% (2020 Census), and in Philadelphia it's about one in six. In those markets, a Spanish profile and phone line are a real reason to call you.
Your Google Business Profile shows best near the address it's verified at. You can list up to 20 service areas, but listing a town doesn't make you rank there. Distance from the person searching still counts.
To reach farther, we use your website, with a page for each main job and, where you have something real to say, a page for the towns you serve. Where it fits, Local Services Ads cover the ZIP codes you choose. We never use virtual offices or borrowed addresses. Google prohibits them, and they're a common reason profiles get suspended.
We write an area page when we have something specific to say about that market: how customers there search, which local rules apply, and work we've done there. A page that only swaps the town name doesn't help anyone decide who to call, and Google treats sets of those as doorway pages.
We hold your website to the same standard. Some agencies publish a page for every trade in every town. We'd rather you have fewer pages that each answer a real question for a real customer.
If your town isn't listed, we still work there. The plans, the prices and the work are the same.
The same for a plumber in South Philly, a roofer in Berks County or a landscaper in Puerto Rico.
Where you work decides how far your profile reaches. Your trade decides what customers search for once they're looking. Pick yours for the jobs, categories and licenses that matter to it.
